Cristobal “Chris” Edrozo Gonzaba was called home to God on Saturday June 15, 2019 at the young age of 55. He was born Sunday November 24, 1963 to Cristobal Corona Gonzaba and Dian Lee Edrozo.

Chris was a San Diego native. In his younger years he enjoyed, baseball, football, camping with his family, and several family events at the Moose Lodge. He also enjoyed the beach during summer breaks. Chris possessed such an adventurous spirit towards life, that eventually led him into the Army, where he served for 4 years and was able to travel as far as Korea and Japan.

Chris was an enormous light to this world. He enriched the lives of those who he knew and those who he had met. Family was the core of his existence. You knew you could always count on him for guidance, support, wisdom, or just a good laugh. He excelled in everything he did and was always looking to expand his knowledge.

Chris found happiness in the simple things, but his proudest moments was becoming a father to his 4 children: Dominic, Brittany, Cherise, and Ashley. In his lifetime, Chris was able to receive one of his greatest wishes, which was becoming a Grandpa to Brynlee (BB) and Grayson (GMan).

Chris is survived by his Father: Cristobal, Dad: Carlos, Brother: Joseph, Sisters: Marcella, Tina, Anita, and Danielle, Daughters: Brittany, Cherise, and Ashley, Grandchildren: Brynlee and Grayson and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Chris is preceded in death by his Mother: Dian and his Son: Dominic.

A Note To Our Father:

Dad, we were not ready to lose you so soon. Although our hearts are broken, we can only trust that God has plans for you that are too great for this earth. The void we are left with from losing you could never be filled, but your irrevocable love will continue to give us strength all the days of our lives. We will see you again. We love you. We miss you. “To the moon”

I have a million stories about me and my brother. Some I can tell, some that should never be told. We were tight growing up. One story that comes to mind, we were hanging out pretty much the whole summer in Garwood ct. Chris , Freddie Lopez and I decided that we were all going to shave our heads. Of course, Freddie went first. We cut it off, and laughed our butts off. Chris talked me in to going next. It was hilarious. They were screaming laughing because I always had long hair and nobody had ever seen me like that. So now it was Chris' turn. He laughed and said, " you guys are stupid, I'm not doing that". He took off, and we chased him. Never caught him. He got us good. Rest in peace, brother. I will never forget you

My Brother was a stand up Man. He took care of things, and made sure things were completed. In his younger years, we labeled him the Preacher. He always wanted to make sure we did things on the the “Right Side.” My Brother got hard times, like we all did. However, he pulled out of them. He found so much joy, and pain, with the birth of his four children; Dominic, Brittany, Cherise and Ashley. He became a Grand father and that was the biggest joy of his life! My Brother may be gone, but I know to be absent in the body, is to be present with Our Lord. My Brother knew and loved Jesus Christ. Until
we meet again my Brother. I love you dearly, and now you reside in my heart and memories. Death can never steal the love we shared, it will until my last day live in me. T
