Aaron Jay Hanson

May 13, 1972 — October 19, 2024

San Diego

Aaron Jay Hanson was born to Gail Lynn Henry (McLeod) and Scott Jay Hanson on May 13th 1972 in San Francisco, California. In his younger childhood Aaron grew up in both  San Francisco and Oregon.  At age 6 he was joined by his only sibling Skye Williams (Henry).  Aaron also spent part of his childhood living in Hawaii before finally landing in San Diego, California. San Diego is where he spent the majority of his youth and the place he would call home most of his adult life as well.  As a kid Aaron enjoyed many activities such as fishing, collecting model trains, and delivering newspapers on his paper route. However, nothing compared to his dedication to baseball, which was seen through his many years of playing little league.  Aaron also had a great love for animals which was apparent through his own collection of pets, some would call it his "mini-zoo".  Aaron spent most of his adult life driving trucks, something he prided himself in doing and enjoyed as well. His truck driving career included working for Schneider National and E. & J. Gallo with whom he worked for over 10 years.  In October of 2012 Aaron met and started dating the love of his life and long-term partner Crystal Howard. Almost 8 years later Crystal and Aaron welcomed into their lives their daughter Hailey Hanson on August 3rd, 2020. Hailey was truly Aaron's biggest and best accomplishment in life and the thing in which he was most proud.  She meant everything to him and she will forever be her daddy's pride and joy.

Aaron is preceded in death by his father Scott Hanson, grandparents George McLeod, Shirley Lehman, and John Lehman, and nephew Kamren Jay Henry. Aaron is survived by his mother Gail Henry, sister Skye Williams, brother-in-law Justin Williams, step-mother Patricia Hanson, long-term partner Crystal Howard, and daughter Hailey Hanson.
