Anita met the love of her life, Reginald A. Wallace, in San Diego, California. They married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 24, 1995, and together they raised two sons, Aaron Tremaine Jones and Michael Wallace. Anita was immensely proud of her children, and her love extended to her cherished grandchildren, Alec and Anita Jones, who brought her endless joy and laughter. Anita was a believer in God and held a quiet, steadfast faith that guided her throughout her life.
Born into a large and loving family, Anita was one of eleven siblings. Her parents, Neely Mae and Henry Lee Jones, and three of her brothers—Alvin, Calvin, and Carl Jones—preceded her in death. Anita treasured the bond she shared with her siblings. She also leaves a beloved aunt, Eddie Jean Jones of St. Louis, Missouri, and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Anita graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School and soon after relocated to San Diego, California. She pursued higher education at the University of Redlands in Redlands, California, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Working as a Senior Software Engineer Analyst, Anita dedicated herself to her profession.
Anita was a lover of nature and found peace and joy in hiking and taking long walks, especially around Chollas Lake in San Diego. Her adventurous spirit led her to Spain, where she embarked on the Camino de Santiago trail, completing a one-week journey. She also enjoyed entertaining family and friends, creating warm and joyful gatherings around holiday dinners and celebrations. Anita welcomed everyone with open arms and a generous spirit.
Anita’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will live on through her family and all those lives she touched.
