On Wednesday, June 27th, Armando Legge, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 57.
Armando was born August 27, 1960 in Tijuana, MX to Loreto and Josefina (Lopez) Legge. He was a 1978 graduate of San Diego High School. On September 20, 1980, he married the love of his life Margarita Tamayo. They raised one daughter, Rosalinda, and two sons, Armando Jr. and Ramon. Armando was a very hard worker from a very early age and worked for over 30 years for a manufacturing company.
Armando was an incredible family man who everyone looked up to. He was a compassionate, loving and doting father. Many, not only his children, looked up to him. He always ensured his family was well taken care of and that nothing was missing. Armando was a jack of all trades. He was an amazing handyman who knew how to do many things, and what he didn’t know he learned. Armando loved to camp, and pack everything for the trip. He’d give his inflatable mattresses and blankets away and stay with nothing just so that everyone else was comfortable. He loved to eat, especially “pan dulce”, and often looked forward to those weekend breakfasts.
Armando was preceded in death by his father, Loreto, his mother, Josefina, and his brother Ramon. He is survived by his wife Margarita, his three children, Rosalinda, Armando and Ramon, his four grandchildren, Armando III, Diego, Adrian and Manfred, his brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 at Featheringill Chapel at 6322 El Cajon Blvd. from 4:00pm to 8:00pm to reminisce, grieve and support each other.
