Art was born in San Diego to parents Juan and Juana Castro in a loving family of 9 children. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Delia, sisters Grace and Jessie, brothers Fred and Alex. He is survived by his children Art (Sue), Deanna Navarro (David) Henry (Monica) and Diana Kalamaha (John), his nine grandchildren Yvette, Victor, Jacob, Alyc, Anne, Kasey, Dallas, Sydni,Sophia and two great grandchildren, Ava and Colin.

Art enjoyed watching and coaching his kids and grandkids in sports and watching the SD Padres, San Antonio Spurs and San Diego State athletics.

His funeral will be held on Friday, March 23rd at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church 7710 El Cajon Blvd., La Mesa 91942, The rosary will begin at 10:00am followed by the mass at 10:30. The internment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at Noon.
