Betty Joan Trent
August 7, 1944 - June 20, 2022
Betty Joan Trent was born on August 7, 1944 at the US Naval Hospital in San Diego,
California. Betty had one brother, Ken, who was her childhood partner in crime and
steadfast friend until she lost him on June 19th, just one day before her own passing.
Betty lived her entire life in San Diego. She met the love of her life in 1958 and they
married on June 17, 1961. Snap and Betty were married 61 years. They were best-
friends and lifelong companions. They had 7 children together; Tracy, Tobin, Tiffany,
Teresa, Tami, Tristie and Tivonna. They were also blessed with many grandchildren;
Allison and Andrew, Cameron and Ellie, Christopher and Breonna, Brooke and Katie,
Chardonnay and Aidan, Savannah and Nick, Colton and Dillon. They welcomed their
first great-grandchild, Delilah in 2021.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Betty
was a small business owner. She owned several flower shops during her time in San
Diego. She was an excellent florist and well known for her beautiful creations. She
made many life-long friends while helping others with flowers to commemorate special
occasions in their lives.
Betty was also a longtime member of the Jehovah Witnesses and dedicated her life to
serving God. She spent much of her life attending services, going door-to-door and
teaching others about the bible.
Betty was well known for being kind, caring and compassionate. She was selfless and
generous with both her time, talent and treasures. While she was extremely proud of
her children, her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, and she sought to be with
them all the time. Family was her everything and she is sorely missed.
