Brenda Moseley Buergey, 76, passed away peacefully at home on July 12 after a long battle with COPD. Brenda lived a full life inspired by her unwavering belief in Jesus Christ and unconditional love for her family and friends.
Born in Arkansas on April 24, 1945 to Homer and Lucy Moseley, she raised her two sons Paul and Steve in San Diego, California where she owned and managed a commercial fishing business. Residing in Spring Valley, California, she owned a home that she loved and shared with her sister Cathy for more than 20 years. She was a long-term member of Skyline Church in La Mesa and was a committed disciple, encouraging others to be close to God. During retirement Brenda loved to spend her time with family and friends, in her garden and at local casinos. She was generous with her love and always stood firm in her beliefs.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Paul (Sheri) and Steve (Denise) Buergey, grandchildren Taylor and Madee Buergey and Jerry Ward, sisters Carolyn Webb and Cathy Pruner, nieces, nephews, and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Robert Webb.
A celebration of life service will be held on August 10, at 10:00am at Skyline Church located at 11330 Campo Rd, La Mesa, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Big Brothers Big Sisters Charity where Brenda’s ‘Adopted’ son Ryan Love volunteers.
