Catherine Joyce Gentry

"Beloved Catherine Joyce Gentry passed away on February 10, 2025 at Covenant Living at Mt. Miguel in Spring Valley, California.

Catherine resided in Del Cerro from 1962 until 2004, when she moved to Covenant Living. She was born in Sulphur, Oklahoma in 1922 to her parents, Hoyal Byars and Cora Lee Raine.

She was a very active member of San Carlos United Methodist Church, and along with her husband, Rene H. Gentry, sang in the chancel choir.

Catherine lived to be 102 years old, and leaves her 2 sons, Brian Gentry (Cheryl) of Pleasanton, CA and Kirk Gentry (Cindy) of Spring Valley, CA, along with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Internment will be with her husband, Rene, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
