Crisosta “Queenie” “Cris” Darlene Romero of San Diego, CA, was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and aunt. Crisosta left this world suddenly on June 06, 2023 at the age of 63.
Crisosta Romero was born on May 16, 1960, in San Diego, CA to the late Vicente and Rachel Romero. After graduating from Hoover High School in 1978, Crisosta went on to apply her strong work ethic in the workforce. Crisosta worked for the Grossmont Union High School district as a school bus driver for over 25 years.
Crisosta’s joy in life included driving students with special needs to and from school and always provided her students with utmost compassion and care. Crisosta also enjoyed dedicating her time to being a humble servant of the church. She spent time as a volunteer at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and committed her time to events in the Church’s school.
Crisosta was predeceased by her son, Christopher Romero, to whom she was a devoted caregiver and loving mother. She is survived by her daughters: Sarah Romero and Rachel Romero, her sister: Laura Rohner, her brothers: Paul Romero and Steven Romero, and her many nieces and nephews for whom she cared deeply.
Crisosta loved spending time with family in addition to listening to classic rock artists, especially her favorite musician, Elton John.
A viewing ceremony will be take place for Crisosta at the Featheringill Mortuary on June 15th from 4pm to 8pm. A mass will be held in her honor on June 16th at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at 11am.
