Dale was born June 18, 1951, in Rochester, New York to Roger James Pennock Sr. and Emily M. Rosa. He passed into God’s arms June 27,2023 at 12.24 PM.
When Dale was only 6 months of age his family moved to Southern California. He grew up in San Diego in the East County settling finally in Santee, CA. He graduated from Grossmont High school in 1969. Soon after he began his Hockey Career. He was a Junior Hockey player with the Cougars in Victoria Canada. He later came back to the States to play in the Minor Hockey league which he did for 10 years. With a family to raise he quit the hockey life and spent the last years of his career in the Beer and Trucking Business. Being home gave him the opportunity to coach soccer and little league, which he loved doing. He was extremely happy to be able to retire when he was 64 so he could buy that trailer and travel America.
Dale is survived by Marilyn, the love of his life. The two were married on September 10, 1994 (29yrs ago). He is also survived by their blended family of 7 children, Rocky Qualin (wife Jenni), Brian Qualin (wife Gina), Torri Pennock Larmour (partner, Tim Gardner), James Qualin (wife Kara), Leslie Pennock Black, Kevin Pennock (wife Veronica) and Julie Qualin Heller (husband Nate), 15 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father Roger Pennock Sr., his mother Emily Codispoti, his stepfather Joseph Codispoti, his two brothers Roger Pennock Jr and Ron Pennock.
A viewing will be held at Feathergill Chapel, 6322 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, CA 92115 on July 21, 2023, from 5PM to 8PM. A service will be at 5:30 PM
