David Clarke Virissimo, Sr., 56, passed away on June 2 nd surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
David was born in San Diego and attended Sacred Heart Academy. He was proud to be a Saintsman – Class of ‘78 and received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UCSD. He made his career, 33 years, in the Micro Electronic industry.
David married his high school sweetheart, Angela, and they celebrated 31 years together. David’s greatest pride and joy were his 3 children David Jr, Maurenna and Alyssa. They shared the love of all things Harry Potter, sports, fine wines and cigars. His love of family and faith is what he is known best for, and his infectious laughter and smile will never be forgotten.
David is now reunited in heaven with his father, Ollie. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his mother Mary Jo, brothers Ollie Jr, Anthony (Yvette), Michael, Ronnie (Coranne), and his sister Marianne (John). David loved, and is loved by, his nieces, nephews and extended family.
David was committed to community service through the Knights of Columbus at Blessed Sacrament Parish. He was an active member of IMAPs, a dedicated Little League Umpire for his local community and the leader of the Saturday Golf group.
David will be remembered as a husband, father, son, brother, favorite uncle, Godfather, cousin, Papa Tito, friend, mentor, coach and volunteer. As he was loved, he will be missed.
The funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Church (4540 El Cerrito Dr) starting at 9:30am.
