In Loving Memory of Dodie Ann Schulz 1930-2020
A loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Mother in Law, Aunt and Treasured Friend.
Dodie was Strong, Beautiful, smart, always fashionable, had Quick Wit, lit up a room with her smile, most of all she cherished her family.
Dodie was born and raised in Portland Oregon. She attended Oregon State University and was an Alpha Chi Omega Sorority Sister. Dodie’s first job out of college was with Shell Oil in Oregon. In 1953 Dodie’s co-workers set her up on a blind date. This turned out to be her “Mr. Right” Don. He proposed to her at Timberline Lodge, Mt. Hood Oregon. They married in 1955 and have two daughters. Dodie and Don were blessed with 65 beautiful, love filled years of being best friends. Dodie and family relocated to San Diego in the late 60’s. She loved the warm climate. The weekends were spent boating, camping at the beach and outings with the Elks Club. Dodie worked as a legal secretary for many years. She retired from La Mesa Spring Valley school district after 23 years. Dodie loved and supported the Arts. Dodie and Don volunteered at the Old Globe Theatre, Speckles Theater, San Diego Symphony and the San Diego International Airport.
Dodie is loved by many and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
