Donald Thomas Wilkins

Don was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on August 7, 1928, and came to San Diego with his parents when he was 14 years old. He met the love of his life, Mary, in 1952 when they worked next door to each other. They married on August 8, 1953, and enjoyed almost 66 years of marriage. After his retirement in 1990, they enjoyed traveling and their animals, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels, the San Diego Blood Bank, and at church. He was proud to be part of the San Diego Police Department as a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol (RSVP) where he was the RSVP Administrator at Mid-City Division.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse from 12-4p on Sunday, August 25, 2019. Please RSVP to Penny at 650-208-2419 or pwilkins999@gmail.com by Friday, August 16, 2019.
The theme will be Hawaiian. Shorts and Hawaiian shirts are encouraged!
