Donna Marie Wallace passed away peacefully in her home in San Diego on November 30th, 2024, after a challenging battle with the rare disorder paraneoplastic syndrome. She was born on September 8th, 1960 to Eva and Chris Devine and passed at the age of 64. She was cherished as an incredible wife, mother, sister, friend and doctor.
She was the beloved spouse of Daniel Wallace for nearly 40 years. Their love was unshakable and served as a solace for Donna as she navigated the challenges of her illness. She was also a beloved mother to her two daughters, Madeline and Natalie. She remained determined and courageous throughout her journey and was known to be exceptionally generous, intelligent, open hearted, radiant and full of life until the very end.
Donna was extremely passionate about her career as a pathologist. She spent 29 years at Kaiser where she was known as the leading pathologist in her specialty for all of Southern California. She enjoyed great fulfillment and satisfaction from her ability to help others through her work.
She was also regarded as an exceptional athlete, being a dedicated yogi, avid runner and enthusiastic spin cyclist. In every community she entered she became a well-known member as she had a genuine interest in the lives of other people and was naturally outgoing, kind, and caring. She laughed easily, loved to dance and was a joy to be around.
She is survived by a loving family and large community of friends and colleagues who will miss her positive spirit immensely. A service will be held on December 12th at 1pm at the top of Mount Helix with a reception to follow at Dan and Donna’s house.
