Ernest Edward Pekarek Jr.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, Ernest Edward Pekarek, Jr., father of three children, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren passed away at the age of 75.

Ernest was born on June 25, 1944 in Clinton, OK to Ernest and Rosella (Ketter) Pekarek, Sr. He is survived by his two daughters and son, Pamela, Leanne and Ernest III along with his loving companion of 27 years, Barbara.

Ernie loved working with his hands and growing plants. He definitely had a green thumb, artistic and creative designing beautiful landscapes at his home and many of his customer’s homes over the years. He was a very hard working man and extremely successful with his landscape business. Eventually he began working for San Diego Unified School District as a BSM, retiring with a “Golden Handshake” at age 65.

Ernie had a passion for woodworking, a love of Motown music and visiting the casino. He is forever in our hearts and will truly be missed.
