ETHELYN ANN GUENO SLUSH

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ethelyn Ann Slush announce her peaceful passing on February 22, 2023 at age 88 after a brief illness. She was born on February 23, 1934 to William Melvin Gueno and Alice Walker Gueno. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Melvin Slush, son, Sean Michael Slush and brother, Norman Kenneth Gueno. She is survived by her two children, Paul Anthony Slush and Dr. Sandra Marie Grayson, two granddaughters, brother, William Melvin Gueno, Jr. and sister, Alice Gueno Dymally.

Ann attended Gilbert Academy and McDonald #35 High Schools in New Orleans. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education at Dillard University, New Orleans in 1956, and a Master of Arts Degree from Occidental College, Pasadena, California in 1974. Ann taught elementary school in New Orleans, San Bernardino, California, and San Diego, California.
