Frederick "Fred" Rickert Jr.

October 4, 1943 — July 23, 2020

FREDERICK RICKERT JR. passed away at home from cancer. Fred was born Oct.4 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the 7th child of Frederick and Helen Rickert. He was raised by his loving Mother. Growing up he had some struggles but was sent to Norris School for Boys where he credits them with putting him on the correct path for the rest of his life.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He spent 13 months in South Korea and had a few stories he liked to tell from that time.

Fred enjoyed people and wanted them to have a great day. For most of his career he worked in retail sales and loved to joke with the customers and fellow employees. He always appreciated other peoples efforts and contributions.

In marriage Fred was kind, considerate, loving and caring. We were best of friends. We loved to go places and in retirement we were very fortunate to travel. Many of our travels included seeing relatives. We always felt so blessed.

If he was not sure we should buy something or do something he would always say “let’s give it some more thought.”

Fred is survived by his loving wife Georgia, his sister Nancy Fisher, Brother in law Bruce Myers,Sister in laws Ronnie Russell, Rita Russell and #7 Jo Fancher. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great and great great ones whom he always enjoyed seeing or hearing about. He felt blessed in his life time.

If any donations are to be made they could go to the homeless veterans or to the Norris Foundation, W 247 S10395 Center Drive, Mukwonago,WI 53149
