Gary Edward Cigainero, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away of complications from a Bone Marrow Transplant on December 14, 2024. He was born on May 5, 1956 in Guam to Marion and Leonard and had three brothers: Len, Ken, and Tim. Gary grew up in San Diego and attended Crawford High School. He enjoyed being with his family, working on cars, and fishing.
Gary and his loving wife, Roxanne, were married for 46 years and had four children, Jennifer, Angie (husband Jason), Michael, and Daniel (wife Katherine) and grandson, Cecil Jack (CJ). Gary was a wonderful husband and dad who always made sure we knew how much he loved us. He loved his wife, Roxanne, deeply. They enjoyed visiting Ocean Beach, weekly Denny’s breakfasts, and watching Padres baseball games.
Gary prided himself on his strong work ethic. He worked for the supermarket industry for forty years. After retiring he wanted to stay busy, so he began working at Home Depot part time. He enjoyed making his customers feel welcome and always had a joke for them.
We would like to thank the staff at City of Hope Hospital Los Angeles for all of the care and love they gave our “Gare Bear”.
There are no words to describe how much we will truly miss him. We will cherish our memories with him forever.
