George Washington Majors Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father George W. Majors, Jr. of San Diego, CA.  George was born in Port Arthur, TX on 10/06/1936 and passed away on 12/31/2024 at 88 years old.  He proudly served in the US Navy for 22 years and then continued his career in healthcare administration for many years after that before finally retiring.  He was a devoted husband to Mary (Nikki) Majors for 57 years and is survived by his loving family - Rita Majors (sister) of Rosenberg, TX; three children - Kathi Majors-Fischer (and Rob) of Pagosa Springs, CO; Mike Majors (and Kathleen) of Carlsbad, CA; and Sézanne Hinkle (and Dave) of Escondido, CA.  He was also a cherished grandfather to eight grandsons - Shaun, Kevin, Tyler, Dylan, Spencer, Austin, Ben, and Branden; and seven great grandchildren - Tylee, Chance, Cashton, Harper, Courage, Koda, and Charisma; and last but not least - one very special grand dog named Bug.

Though we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived.  Thank you for being the best father any of us could have asked for.  We love you, we miss you, and we will continue to make you proud.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 27th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Miramar National Cemetary.
