Gerald Edwin Wells Sr. entered into the arms of the Lord on November 12th 2022. He was granted his wings into GOD's heavenly kingdom. Gerald had a sudden departure from this earth and his journey was shorter than we would have liked. Gerald will be desperately missed.
Gerald Edwin Wells Sr. was born in San Diego, California to Roosevelt Wells Jr. and Edna Mae Wells. Gerald was the 1st born of 6 children. Leaving behind his Mother Edna Mae Wells, sisters R. Marie Wells-Duncan, Karen Wells-Williams, LaSheila Williams, Diana Marie Thomas and his children Gerald Wells Jr, Terrence Wells, Tyrie Wells, Rahgeem Wells and his grandchildren.
Although Gerald did not profess his life to Christ, he read his bible faithfully as well as listened to sermons and scriptures. He'd send his mother and sister sermons to listen to and then would call and ask us what we thought about it.
Gerald loved listening to music watching good movies and cooking. If someone was hungry, he'd ask them into his home or would give them a few bucks to get some food he would even allow them to come in and shower. He liked to barbeque and anyone could come over and get a plate.
"Father God we ask you to help this family to grieve and mourn in a healthy manner and in an allocated time that you set for this family. Strengthen this family in ways that only you can. Allow your surpassing peace to overcome them all. Turn every tear of sorrow into joy. Wrap your loving arms around this family father God for the journey ahead without Gerald. Heal their brokenness encourage their faith, deliver them from silent frustrations mentally spiritually and emotionally. Holy spirit wrap your loving arms around this family like never before, carry them through this storm together, loving, caring and supporting one another. God I ask you to help this family to grieve in a healthy way and not be overcome by his sudden death and their loss of words and understanding. Give this family peace and an understanding of this due season God. Help them to rise above in the time that you have set for them to overcome deep despair and grief. Lord cause them to celebrate his life as the family comes together remembering all the good times they shared with him and carrying those pieces of him in their hearts. Lord God we love you and thank you for grace and mercy. Meet everyone's need physically, mentally, spiritually, financially, and emotionally. Nothing is to hard or impossible for you God. We surrender everything to you now as we place all our hope and trust in you by declaring and decreeing it is done in Jesus name...Amen." prayer from Hazel Duncan to the family.
