A remarkable figure in both her career and personal life, Heidi began her professional journey at the Internal Revenue Service in San Francisco, CA, where fate would lead her to meet the love of her life, Keith Troutman. Her ambitions flourished further as she devoted herself to her role as a Pension Consultant for Trust Consultants in San Mateo, CA a position that marked one of her proudest accomplishments in the professional sphere. However, it was perhaps in her heart, as a devoted mother and wife, that her truest spirit shone brightest.
Heidi’s world revolved around her beloved family. She took immense pride in her roles as a mother to Austin and Alexander Troutman, ensuring that their lives were enriched with love and adventure. Family gatherings, hosted with her signature elegance and easy grace, became a hallmark of her nurturing personality. Heidi possessed an innate ability to bring friends and family together, always considering their comfort and joy as paramount.
Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, complemented by a Minor in French from UC Davis in 1985. This foundation not only equipped her for her career but also reflected her worldly character—one marked by an appreciation for diverse cultures and ideas. Heidi’s approach to life was characterized by her outgoing nature, organization, and the compassion she extended to others, embodying generosity that touched countless lives.
To many, Heidi was a beacon of strength and bravery. A woman known for her elegance and propriety, she embraced the adventurous side of life with equal fervor. She found joy in reading, writing, traveling, and cooking—hobbies she not only loved but also passionately shared by leading individual clubs with her friends, deftly managing schedules with remarkable flair.
An annual pilgrimage to Lake Tahoe marked a special tradition for Heidi, where she relished the tranquility of the water and the invigorating hikes of the mountains, embodying the balance she sought in her own life. Such moments encapsulated her zest for life, a testament to her spirit that valued both exploration and serenity.
Heidi’s vibrant presence will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind, including her husband, Keith Troutman; her sons, Austin and Alexander Troutman; and her sister, Karen Marlow. Her enduring friendships, forged throughout her life, remain a testament to her ability to nurture relationships and build a robust community around her.
