Helen was born to parents John and Mary Paskiewicz in Canada.
She married the love of her life, Ed Kozak, in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, on October 24, 1942.
They had 5 beautiful daughters, Maureen, Tannie, Monica, Sharon and Patricia.
Mom was Grandma to 12, Step Grandma to 3, G.G. (Great Grandma) to 10, Step G.G. to 10.
She was so proud of her very large family, especially since she was an only child.
She loved to keep track of and brag about all of their accomplishments.....telling all who would listen.
Helen and Ed moved the family to San Diego CA, in the United States in 1959, and proud to become Naturalized American Citizens in 1966. Eventually, Mom relocated to Santee, CA
Mom was known for catering, cake decorating, custom sewing and hosting BIG dinners and parties for family and friends. She especiially loved to prepare ethnic Polish foods.
A proud memory for Mom was the 27 Catholic priests who visited and used their home to visit and revitalize themselves.
She was very active in Young Ladies Institute (YLI), Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, Legion of Mary, school PTA's for her 5 daughters and was a Relgious Education Teacher.
Mom was especially privileged to participate in weekly Eucharistic Adoration and Prayers for over 20 years at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, in San Diego, CA.
