Helen Yturralde passed away peacefully after a short bout with cancer.
She was born Helen Marie Meyers in Solon Iowa in 1923. She moved to San Diego in 1942 and was married in 1944 to Edmond Yturralde. She was widowed after 62 years of marriage.
Helen was known to be humble and for her positive personality, her kindness, her quick intellect, sense of humor, and deep love for her friends and family.
She is preceded in heaven by her husband Edmond, daughter Rita Wolkiewicz and grandson John Virgilio.
She is survived by her son Alan Yturralde and his family, son Steven Yturralde and wife Liz Yturralde and daughter Diana Yanke and husband Stephen Yanke. Helen had 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing at Fetheringill Mortuary on Thurs Oct 6 th , 5-7 pm.
Services will be held Fri Oct 7 th at St Didacus church, rosary at 9:30 am, mass at 10 am, burial at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11:30 am.
Reception to follow at St Didacus hall.
In Liew of flowers the family suggests donations to St Didacus church or school.
