Huu Tran

Our beloved father, brother, cousin and friend, Huu Tran, passed away peacefully in San Diego, CA on May 17, 2023 at the age of 40. He is survived by his sisters Mary Gonzalez, Anne Tran, Martha Tran and brother, Paul Tran.

Huu was born in Stockton, CA on April 12, 1983. A first generation born Vietnamese-American and eldest to his siblings has instilled strong family values throughout his life. Growing up in the late 1980s-1990s generation of California, exposed to a unique Stockton culture while holding onto the strong traditions of the Vietnamese culture, helped build the identity to one of the most artistic, resilient, and humble people we know as Huu Tran, and one with great style.

Huu was a proud Crohns fighter, who fought to remain positive and strong throughout his life. Huu relocated to San Diego later in life while continuing to lovingly raise his daughters to be kind, empowered and compassionate human beings. Huu also reignited his love for God through church with the support of his pastor and community, which helped propel Huu’s inspiring healing journey.

He leaves behind his daughters Zoey Tran, age 8, and Rylee Tran, age 7. He was preceded in death by Lieu Tran (father), Hong Pham (mother), Teresa Tran (sister), and Anthony Tran (brother).
