Born in Colton, CA on July 31st, 1942 to Agustine and Angela Rubio. He is survived by two sisters Norma Vega and Irene Abat. Loving father to three daughters Theresa Quezada, Carmen Montejano, and Christina Heins. Son-in-laws Rolando Quezada, Steven Montejano, and Mark Heins. Most amazing Grampa to Armando Quezada, Nicole, Steven, and Selena Montejano and Elena and Cody Heins.
He graduated from San Diego High School in 1961. Shortly after, he joined the Air Force. When completing his Air Force service, Nacho began working at Food Basket as a delivery truck driver within the company. He then was offered a position in the produce department with their apprenticeship program. After learning the business, he was offered a manager position. He worked twenty-one years in the retail business. Nacho then began working at Hughes Network Systems and retired after fifteen years.
He was very active in the St. Rita's parish. He was involved in bingo, the Men's Club, Family Life, drove the church bus to pick up parishioners who didn't have transportation to church and was famous for his hamburger stand at the parish bazaar. We will miss our breakfast dates at Denny's and Shirley's Kitchen. But most of all, his YumYum Donuts. Your spirit will be kept alive. Until we meet again. We love you Dad/Grampa!!!
