In loving memory of Irene Mary Powers-Serrano. Irene has suffered from Dementia for many years and passed peacefully surrounded by family on May 4, 2017

Irene was born in Bristol, Connecticut to Julia Amanda LeBlanc and Joseph Adelard Miller, Sr. She grew up in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Irene met her husband, Henry (Hank) Patrick Powers roller skating at the local skating rink and they were married on February 24, 1948. Hank and Irene Powers were married until his death on May 20, 2001.

Irene and Hank Powers were involved in the Catholic Church for many years before becoming pastors of the Church of God Prayer Center in Cochise, Arizona.

Irene is survived by 4 children, Patti, Gregory (Skyhorse) Cathy, and Mary, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her ex-husband Frank Serrano and many nieces and nephews on the east coast. She was preceded in death by Husband Hank, their youngest daughters, Eileen and Leona Marie (Eryn Rose) and 10 brothers and sisters (John, Joseph, Jr. Norman, Leon, Francis, Robert, Lucille Berube, Grace Junka, and Lorraine).

Irene's finally resting place will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma along with her loving Husband, Henry (Hank) Powers and Daughter, Eileen Margaret. Burial is scheduled for May 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life for both Irene and Hank Powers will be held at the home of their daughter Cathy.
