James Michael Buchmiller

James M. Buchmiller, 72, husband of the late Margaret E. Buchmiller (February 2, 1948-March 5, 2019) of El Cajon, CA, passed away Tuesday August 6, 2019 at home just 5 months and one day following his wife of 50 years, surrounded by his family.
Jim grew up in El Cajon, went to Granite Hills High School and San Diego State University. He worked various managerial positions throughout his career. Owned a Radio Shack at one time and most recently retired from Marriott where he was a night auditor. In his spare time, he was an active volunteer at St. Martin of Tours parish in La Mesa.
Jim is survived by his four children, James C. Buchmiller (Inge), Christine Throm (Terence), Michael Buchmiller (Sara), and Matthew Buchmiller, his nine grandchildren, his brother Fr. Ronald Buchmiller and his sisters Ninelle Brunelle and Rose Marie Benson.
The funeral service will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in La Mesa, CA on Monday August 19, 2019 at 10:00am. A reception will follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franciscan Peace Connection.
