Joan Louise Brantuas (Pugh)

March 11, 1942 — August 21, 2021

Joan was born in Los Angeles, California on March 11, 1942 and is survived by her husband Joseph Brantuas, and her six children, Joseph, Kelly, Julia, John, Paul, and Peter, as well as her ten grandchildren, Katherine, Eva, Bobby, Kylie, Becky, Jacob, Wyatt, Casey, Heidi, and Daphne.

Joan and Joe were married on November 3, 1962. A U. S. Navy family that would leave University City in 1975 and return in 1986. A devout Catholic, Joan’s unconditional love for her family was matched by her incredible smile, brilliant green eyes and her wonderful grace. We will miss hearing her terrific laugh and words of wisdom.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Our Mother of Confidence Catholic Church located at 3131 Governor Drive San Diego, CA 92122 at (9:00 am – to be confirmed) followed by the burial at Miramar National Cemetery.
