John W. Smith

John W. “Jack” Smith was born December 2, 1932 in Yonkers, NY.
He passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017 in San Diego, CA.
He was married to Norma (Barnhart) Smith on April 3, 1993.
Preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Durrschmidt (Ed), brother, Fr. Douglas Smith, nephew, Eddie Durrschmidt and former wife, Ann Marie.
Jack is survived by his four sons, Douglas, John (Chris), Denis and Timothy (Amy); grandchildren, Johnny, Danielle, Kati, Vincent, Angela, Cooper and Mackenzie and nieces and nephews.
Jack served in the US Air Force in Korea.
The funeral will be on February 23, 2017 at 11:00am at Church of the Most Holy Trinity, 405 Ballard St. in El Cajon. The public viewing will be at Featheringill Mortuary, 6322 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego at 9:30 – 10:00am.
The burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately after the funeral.
