John James Tefft

John was born in Phoenix, Arizona and for the first 15 years of his life he lived between Phoenix and San Diego.
In 1948 he enlisted the US Marine Corps and later served in the Korean War. He participated in the landing at Inchon, the liberation of Seoul and the Chosin Reservoir. He received an Honorable discharge in 1952.
In 1952 he married Donna McClatchey, who preceded him in death in 2000. He is survived by a brother Donald Sanders, a son John Tefft Jr. and a daughter Deneise Tefft.
John was a long time barber in the Pacific Beach area and active in both the Lions Club and Pacific Beach Recreation league fast pitch softball. John later became an insurance adjustor for major insurance companies and started his own adjusting business.
A graveside service will be held on June 7, 2022 at 1:30pm at the Singing Hills Memorial Park ,
2800 Dehesa Rd. El Cajon, CA.
