Jose Pascual Crisostomo, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away on February 4, 2025, in San Marcos, California, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on August 27, 1952, and spent a life marked by hard work, laughter, and love.

Jose dedicated over fourteen years of his life as an Overseas Filipino Worker for Toshiba in Saudi Arabia, where he earned recognition as an outstanding supervisor, his image adorning the company's global poster. Following his successful tenure at Toshiba, he returned to the Philippines, where he channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into launching HJ Bahay Labahan, a laundry business that he ran for eight years before making the decision to migrate to California. Once settled in his new home, Jose continued to work diligently, first at Bahia Resort Hotel as a laundry mechanic for a year, and then dedicating eleven years to Hilton Hotel Bayfront in San Diego, as a the Chief Laundry Mechanic where he received the esteemed Blue Energy Award.

Beyond his impressive professional milestones, Jose was a man of remarkable character. Known for his generous heart and infectious sense of humor, he brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. Friends and family fondly remember him as someone who could fix anything, often affectionately referred to as the "McGyver." His endearing nature was complemented by his signature practice of bestowing nicknames on those around him, a testament to his ability to form cherished bonds.

Jose cherished spending quality time with his beloved family, drawing immense joy from their companionship and the laughter shared over a glass of his favorite Johnny Walker blue label scotch whisky. He leaves behind his wife, Teresita, and their two children, Joie and Josephus with his son-in-law Terry and grandchildren, Teriane & Traciane whose lives he enriched with love and guidance. His unwavering faith and deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary were a source of strength for him, particularly during the most challenging times.

Jose’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufina and Lorenzo Crisostomo, and his siblings, Apolinario, Leonora, and Regina  and one surviving sister, Elisa.

As we remember Jose, we honor not only his achievements but also the kindness and joy he spread throughout his life. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
