Jose Carlos - Patricio Loureiro

Carlos had a diverse and fulfilling career, working in various fields as a Champagne vineyard harvester, commercial tuna fisherman, and as a Re-certified Bosun in the Merchant Marines. His hard work ethic and dedication shone in everything he pursued.

Known for his incredible sense of humor and kindness towards others, Carlos was a generous soul who cherished spending time with his family and friends. His cheerful energy and warm smile never failed to brighten any room he entered. He took pride in his Portuguese heritage but especially enjoyed watching soccer, eating traditional food, and going on travel adventures.

Born on August 7, 1956 in Buarcos, Figueira Da Foz, Portugal; Carlos enriched the lives of those around him until he peacefully passed away at home on May 31, 2024, in San Diego, CA.

Carlos is survived by his loving spouse Debra Loureiro; his adoring children Joao Loureiro, Bianca Vela, and Joseph Loureiro; his grandchildren Maria Flor Loureiro, Luka Jack Vela, Benji Carlos Vela, and Jett Dominic Vela; his sister Saudade Roda; his nephew, Domingos Roda; his niece Juliana Roda, and his in-laws Silvia Loureiro, Lorena Vela, and Frank and Mary Ferreira.

He is preceded in death by his father Jose dos Santos Loureiro and mother Blandina Marques Patricio.

Carlos will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his joyful spirit and loving memories live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
