Juanita Gay Swisher

Nita, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 18^th, 2023 after a slow decline from dementia. She was born April 11^th, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She moved with her husband Bob to San Diego in 1959 when he was transferred here by the 3M Company. She taught school in the Santee School District before deciding to stay home to be a mother and homemaker. She was an active member of both Skyline Wesleyan Church and then Shadow Mountain Community Church until her decline kept her homebound. We would like to thank Blanca, who was with her for 9 years, Elena and Martha who gave her such excellent care that she was able to live out her remaining years in the home she loved. We would also like to thank her wonderful hospice team, Emily & Tiffany, that checked on her every week and prepared us so well for her homegoing.

Nita was preceded in death by her husband Bob. Survivors include her daughters; Robin (Edd) Sandusky of El Cajon, Stacy (Russ) Allen of Murrieta, and Shannon (Matt) Banks of San Clemente.  Also survived by her grandchildren; Bradley (Tina) & Jacob Sandusky, Robert & Stephen Lawrence, Christopher Allen, Andrew, Evan (Serenity) & Alysse Banks. There are no memorial services planned.
