June Katherine McIntire

June Katherine McIntire, 86 of El Cajon, CA passed away at her home surrounded by family on Friday, October 30. June was born on March 7, 1934 in Beverly, Massachusetts to Esther Helen Racklife. Her mother later married Lt. Cmdr. Omar Francis Keith, USN. June grew up in the San Diego area attending both San Diego High School and SDSU where she was a Physical Education major and a majorette. It was at SDSU that June met the love of her life, Charles. God richly blessed them with 63 years of marriage and three children, Susie (Jim) Lackey, Kenny (Shelli) McIntire and David (Susan) McIntire.

June and Charles have been long time members of Shadow Mountain Community Church.
June worked as a school secretary for Christian High School in El Cajon as well as Bostonia Christian Elementary. She enjoyed a variety of hobbies including bowling and painting ceramics. She earned many ribbons for her ceramics that she entered in the Del Mar County Fair.

June also treasured and celebrated her family including 10 grandchildren (Megan, Kimberly, Caitlyn, Kaci, Kevin, Keith, Kera, Jonathan, Joshua, and Jacob) and 9 great grandchildren (Jameson, Grayson, Amelie, Eden, Lily, Ivy, Ashten, Alexis and Eli).

June was a loving wife, mother, and true friend to many. While we will all miss her grace, humor, and love, we rejoice that she is in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. June's favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3: 5,6. Her final resting place will be at Singing Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in June's name be sent to Shadow Mountain Community Church, 2100 Greenfield Drive, El Cajon, CA 92019 Attention: Cheryl Storm.
