Kathleen Lee O'Brien

Kathy O'Brien was born in Lakewood, Ohio, Saturday, March 24th, 1956. Her parents were Richard J. O'Brien and Ruth L. O'Brien. She was one of 5 children: Mike O'Brien, Kris Martin (twin), Tim O'Brien, and Kelly O'Brien. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1974. Kathy went on to graduate nursing school at Kent State University in 1980, with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She moved to San Diego in the 1980s, and had a daughter, Kelly O'Brien in 1991. She was a registered nurse for 39 years, the last 16 of which she served at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Diego. Kathy loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, gardening, cooking, traveling, and doing things with her grandchildren. Kathy passed away on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019. Kathy is survived by: her father, Richard O'Brien; her siblings, Mike, Kris, Tim, and Kelly; her daughter, Kelly O'Brien; her grandchildren, Keelia Turner and Keeva Turner; and many more family members and friends. Kathy made an impact on everyone she met, and will be forever missed.
