Obituary for Lawrence Richard Taylor

Larry Taylor…loving husband, devoted father, and treasured by family and friends, passed away on June 17, 2017 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. He was born July 2, 1951 in Utica New York, first born son of Fred and Adelaide (Terry) Taylor.
Larry moved to San Diego in the early 1980’s and began working for Aquanetics Systems. In a few short years he became Vice President of Manufacturing. He retired from his fulltime job in 2001 to have more time to spend with his family and soon began volunteering at his daughter’s school. Volunteering later turned into working for the Cajon Valley School District as a Special Ed Classroom Aide. He also worked as a security guard for Elite Show Services. He loved both jobs and truly enjoyed the work he did and the people he met.
Larry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Beth, daughters Chase and Tracy (Taylor) Voce and stepdaughter, Shannon Walker. In addition, he is survived by his six brothers and sisters, Sharon Taylor, Rick Taylor, Christine Hough, David Taylor, Greg Taylor and Penny Zapf. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kayleigh and Cameron Voce, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was one of a kind. He never met a stranger and was always quick with a smile and a witty (or corny) remark. Although taken too soon, we feel blessed to have had him in our lives for as long as we did. May he rest in peace.

Some of you have asked about making a donation to honor Larry’s memory. Nothing would have made him happier than helping Chase prepare for her future by donating to her college fund. If you would like to contribute you may go to: www.UGIFT529.com and enter the UGIFT Code A2C-P3H.
