Leona Alice Chambers, 90, of El Cajon, California, passed away on October 24, 2023. She was born on August 7, 1933 in Santa Rosa, California.
Leona was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
Leona is survived by her son Edward Chambers and his wife, Sue, along with her grandsons Christopher (wife Lori), Scott, Stuart (wife April), and great grandsons Andrew, Bryce, Brennan, James, and Chase Chambers. She is also survived by her granddaughters Tammy and Amanda Chambers, along with her great granddaughter, Elizabeth Curr and her husband Herb. Leona is also remembered by her sons longtime partner Terry and her son Scott, as well as her sister-in-law Kathy and nephew, Justin Lawton.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her son James, and her brother Edward Lawton.
She cherished her family and had a special place in her heart for her dogs and cats. Leona’s favorite pastime was spending time at the casino with her late husband, Richard, enjoying the thrill of playing on the slot machines.
Per her wishes, Leona will be laid to rest alongside the love of her life, Richard, at Miramar National Cemetery.
