Leonard C. Ragsdale Jr.

Leonard passed peacefully in the afternoon of November 9, 2021. Born in Danville, Virginia, he joined the United States Navy and enjoyed sailing the globe many times over. In Boston, he married Ruth Demers, becoming a father to Joanne and Charlene. He became widowed and the Navy brought him home to San Diego, CA., where he met and married widow Olga Ragsdale, becoming a step-father to Ricky, Diana, Tom and Teresa. Together, Leonard and Olga became parents to Debra and Sharron. Leonard spent 26 years as a Boiler Tech and retired at the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (E9). He also worked at Sharp Hospital and Burroughs Corporation before full retirement. He was a strong man of faith and enjoyed family gatherings, barbecuing, golfing and running. Leonard is remembered as a great Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is preceded in death by his Daughter JoAnne Demers. He is survived by 7 Children, 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren.
