Tillie, just days from her 90th birthday, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Nancy. Tillie was born on January 27, 1928, in Descanso, CA, the daughter of Ray & Dorothy Tombaugh. Tillie attended San Diego High School where she was a majorette on the drill team, as well as being very active and involved in numerous social clubs. In 1946 she met and married the love of her life, Frank DeVore. They were married for 59 years, when Frank passed in 2005. In addition to raising their two daughters, Susan & Nancy, she loved sewing and cooking and was very involved in PTA. Once the kids got older, she worked as a bank teller and a real estate agent. After Frank retired in 1984, they traveled the world extensively. Tillie was kind, she was generous, she was loved by everybody that knew her. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Palmieri-Campbell (husband Norm) and Nancy Murry (husband Darryl), four grandchildren, Jason Palmieri, Ashley Barber (husband Chad), Nathaniel Murry, Kendall Murry, and three great grandchildren, Evan, Brooke & Wyatt. The family is having a private celebration of her life on what would have been her 90th birthday! In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her memory to:
