Lillian Lorraine Smith

Lillian L. Smith, 81, of San Diego, CA, passed away on December 08, 2014. Lillian was born in Turtle Lake, ND. Widowed for the past 15 years, Lillian is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Chuck, son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Lyn, grandchildren Kristi, Jonathan, Hillary, Benjamin, Caitlyn, Jaclyn, and her loving companion of nearly 13 years, Jesse, as well as many extended family members.

Lillian came to San Diego 60 years ago, married, and was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown. She then began a career at Kaiser Permanente in medical records as a legal clerk, receiving numerous commendations for her unfailing courtesy and compassion in her interactions. After retiring, she then volunteered in Kaiser’s gift shop where her kindness continued to be noted. Lillian’s love of God led her to be a Sunday School teacher, a volunteer for the March of Dimes, and participation in various non-profit organizations that worked to serve others.
