Louise Irene Roper Cox
Louise Cox was born in San Diego on March 23. She attended multiple elementary and junior high schools, graduating from San Diego High, class of 51. She was the Debate Club Secretary and a majorette in High School.
Louise met her future husband, Robert Arthur Cox, while in high school, after a Hoover vs. San Diego High football game. They subsequently married in April of 1952 and remained in the San Diego area where Louise worked at SDG&E for five years prior to starting a family. She had one daughter Teresa and later adopted 2 sons Greg and Brian. Active in the local PTA, Jr. Women's Club, and the Del Cerro Women's Club, she was also member of PEO.
Louise was a very good cook and always gracious priding herself on hosting large family holiday dinners and luncheons for friends. She also enjoyed travel, both camping and cruises. An avid reader, she passed her love of books on to her grandsons Benjamin and Zachary.
In her later years she suffered from dementia and passed away quietly in her sleep on Monday December 21st, 2020.
