Margherita Marie LoMedico

Margherita M. LoMedico was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 13, 1944, to Salvatore and Providencia (Prudie) L. LoMedico. Margherita (Mar) went to Rosary Catholic High School. On October 28, 1961 she married her soulmate Joseph LoMedico at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She raised three beautiful children and worked at Venice Pizza House restaurant as the gracious owner greeting people at the front door. When her children were grown, she went to work at Bank of America.
Margherita enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, particularly cruises. She was always planning the next adventure. She and her husband Joe also loved the freedom of the motorhome, discovering new places to go. She was a tireless hostess for her family and friends, and her Christmas Eve parties were legendary. She was an avid card player, and often would take impromptu trips to Las Vegas.
Mar is proceeded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Prudie. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart, and loving husband of 58 years Joseph, son, Vito (Bill) LoMedico and wife Stacey, daughter AnnaMaria and husband Gary Leger, daughter Prudie and husband Pete Storniolo. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Christina LoMedico, Joseph LoMedico, and Joseph (Nick) Leger. Sisters Lucia Romano and husband Frank, sister Francine (Chi-Chi) Magneta and husband Nino, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for our beloved Wife, Mother, Nonna, & Friend Margherita M. LoMedico will be held on November 18, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4551 56th Street, San Diego CA 92115. The Rosary will be at 5:00 p.m. with Mass immediately following.
