Marian Yvonne Jackson

Marian Yvonne Jackson, 75, of National City, passed away on August 21, 2024, after a long andfulfilling life.

Marian was born on September 11,1948 in Great Lakes, Illinois to Marion Bond Jackson and Esperanza Margarita Arango Jackson.

Marian married Otis Clinton Dobbs in 1970. Marian & Otis “Clint”, during their 18-year marriage they had three children, Frances Dobbs, Clinton Steven “Clint” Dobbs & Liana Dobbs.

Marian worked as an educator for special needs, she loved helping people. She also was a translator for the Sweetwater High School District and worked as an immersion teacher for Spanish at Language World. She loved writing children’s stories and was a published poet. Once she retired, yoga & reading became her loves she was able to immerse herself in, she loved to learn as well as educate. She loved her grandchildren- Ava Dobbs (18), Sage Traba(16), Nora Traba(15), Aaron Dobbs(13), Ivy Dobbs(11) & Ella Traba(7) with all her heart. She was predeceased by her mother, Esperanza Margarita Arango Jackson and her father Marion Bond Jackson, who have passed away. She is survived by her sister Maria Elena Keever & her brother, Victor Stephenson Jackson.
