Obituary for MaryAnne Kathleen Goebel

Mary Anne Kathleen Donnelly Goebel was the wife of Valentine Henry Goebel. She was the daughter of Donald and Evelyn Donnelly. Mary Anne had two sisters, Therese and Evelyn, and two brothers, Donald and John.

Mary Anne was a lifetime resident of San Diego and graduated from Our Lady of Peace Academy in 1942. She married Val in 1943 and had her first child in 1944.

Mary Anne entered into rest peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday June 12. Mary Anne will be missed by a devoted, loving family and many dear friends.

Mary Anne was predeceased by her husband, Valentine, daughter Linda, son-in-law Tony, two grandsons Michael and Bryan and brother Donald.

She is survived by her daughters Marietta Zappanti, Judy Anne (Keith) Walquist and son-in-law Rick Pearce; her sons Ken (Charlene), Steve (Delmy), and Dan (Kelly); fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter. She is also survived by sisters Therese (Tom) Oles and Evelyn Wilson, brother John (Susan) Donnelly and sister-in-law Mary Louise Donnelly.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday June 17th at 10 AM at St.Patrick’s Church, 3585 30th Street, San Diego, CA.
