Megan Eileen Franco

Megan Eileen Franco, lovingly known as Maggie, was born on March 19, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois. After a rich and fulfilling life, she passed peacefully in San Diego, California, on December 27, 2024, at 7:42 AM.

Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing 2002, marking a proud accomplishment that reflected her fierce spirit and dedication. Her professional life was characterized by a commitment to care and compassion, values that complemented her vibrant personality. Megan had a knack for making those around her laugh and brought joy to countless moments throughout her life.

Megan cherished the time spent with her family and various fur babies over the years, enjoying hobbies such as cooking and baking. She had a particular fondness for celebrating holidays, especially Christmas, where she would delight in singing carols, decorating, and giving thoughtful gifts. Each celebration was a testament to her warm-hearted nature and her devotion to creating memorable experiences for her loved ones.

Megan is survived by her beloved children: Amy Casey, Jerry Casey, and Bethany Thompson. She was also a proud grandmother to Stephanie Casey, Seth Casey, Alyssa Casey, Sean Casey, Chloë Dunbar, Jane Casey, Adrien Regalado, Gabriel Regalado, Claire Casey, and Makai Thompson.

She is preceded in death by her cherished granddaughter, Maya Thompson; her sister, Cynthia Surratt; her nephew, Scott Surratt; and her parents, Edna Gordon Casey and Jerry Casey.

Megan Eileen Franco will be remembered for her fierce spirit, infectious humor, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy continues through her children and grandchildren, who carry forward her memory in their hearts.
