Melvin George Mayuiers

Melivn G. Mayuiers born in Gary, Indiana, his family moved to Coral Gables, Florida when he was 5 years old. After graduating from high school, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he attended Arizona State University. In 1957 he moved to El Cajon, California where he met his wife Joan. They married in 1959 and had three children; Dale, Catherine, Russell. In June this year they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Mel loved cars, motorcycles and boats; taking many trips through Mexico, west coast of California and land sailing at El Mirage dry lake bed. He was a member of the El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812, Lake Havasu Elks Lodge, Rocky Roadrunners RV camping group, Elks camping group, and the San Diego MG Car Club.
