La Mesa, CA – Minnie Miller, a long-time resident in the San Diego area, passed peacefully into God’s hands on Tuesday the 8th of November, 2016 at the age of 93.
Born in Sandpoint, Idaho in 1922, Minnie was the 3rd child of four, 2 older sisters and 1 younger brother, all whom preceded her. During the 2nd world war, she worked at the Farragut Naval base in Idaho working with the troops in the photography department. Later, she moved to Eureka, CA, where she worked for KEIM TV CH 3 and KRED Radio. She then moved on, working for the Redwood Regional Economic Development Department in Eureka. Once retired, she moved to the Rancho San Diego area where she settled down into being a full-time Grandma and Great Grandma.
Minnie would always say how blessed she was to have such a wonderful family. She enjoyed socializing and laughing, water skiing at Trinity, baking in HUGE quantities at Christmas time, cooking meals on Fridays for the entire family, and spending time in Palm Springs. Above all, her greatest joy was playing with, and adoring, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her words, “My Grandkids are what keeps me going.”
She is survived by her loving husband Ray Miller, sons Felix Rogers and Ray Miller, Jr., 4 Grandchildren, 7 great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
