Palma Linn Acuna

Palma Linn Acuña, age 82, passed away on January 4, 2019 at the Country Manor La Mesa Healthcare Center in San Diego, CA. She was born on October 15, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to parents, Armida and Jess D. Frias. She graduated Fremont High School in 1953. On April 23, 1955, she married Carlos Acuña and together, they had three sons. They later went on to raise two of their grandchildren. Palma and Carlos enjoyed traveling around the world with their friends, cooking, and gardening together. Palma was an active church member at the Mission San Diego de Alcala and volunteered as the “Plantique” manager at the annual Festival of the Bells for many years. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Carlos; sons, Charles, Gregory, and John; and grandchildren, John Paul, Andrea, Chad, and Brandon. Funeral services will be held on January 24, 2019 at 10:30am at the Mission San Diego de Alcala. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in Palma’s name to the Mission San Diego de Alcala.
