Pat James McIntyre

Pat McIntyre of San Diego, California passed away suddenly on October 23, 2023. He was born in Cashel, Ireland in 1955 to Majella (née Ryan) and Sean McIntyre and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of three. Pat grew up in Los Angeles. As a child, he excelled in sports and eventually went on to play college football at the University of San Diego, from which he graduated in 1978. He then worked as a general contractor for over 30 years.

In 1985, he met his lovely wife Melanie (née Martin), a native of Belfast, at the Blarney Stone in Clairemont, and they married the same year. Pat is survived by his wife Melanie; his children Aisling, Sean, and Caoimhe; and his granddaughter Méabh. He is also survived by his brother Jim, sisters Ellen and Kathleen, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and extended family.

Pat was a fiercely kind and loyal family man who loved his Irish heritage and community. He was happiest surrounded by his family, listening to Irish music, watching a rugby match, and sipping on Irish whiskey.
