Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, best friend, teacher, coach, colleague, a firm foundation and a place to feel safe for many.
Sadly passed away Wednesday morning February 28, 2024 at her home. Peggy was born in Monrovia, California on July 25, 1960. She was a devoted teacher and taught at Heritage Elementary School since its inception 25 years ago. She was a dedicated teacher and took a genuine interest in each students education. Peggy was passionate about higher education, she worked hard to achieved her Masters and Administration Credentials in Education. She was involved with the union and always fought for teachers rights. Peggy was also a coach for many sports leagues, she herself was very athletic growing up. Peggy also was a Keno Queen, she would never pass up the opportunity for a fun casino trip with her family or friends. Peggy had a gentle soul, she believed in the best of everyone. She always looked at the bigger picture and had the best knowledge for possible outcomes. She was never a stranger to many and was always greeted by everyone, where ever she went. She is survived by her parents, Larry and Roberta Sandoval, her sons Brent Barragan, Nicholas and Dale Barragan-Towne, granddaughter Ariel Barragan, sisters Yvonne and Lisa Vargas, Brothers Eduardo & Richard Vargas, nephew Eddie Vargas, nieces Alexis and Erika Vargas, and dearest friends. Peggy will be dearly missed and will continue to live on in our fond stories and cherished memories. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
